How did my adventure with anime begun?

It's hard to tell really. I watched pokemon and sailor moon as a kid, and I really loved them, but it was years until I thought about looking for more of the kind. I think I started watching anime, with full awarness of the fact I watch anime, when I was around 10. My sister got into internet fandoms and into anime too and I got curious, I wanted to join her. First anime I picked up back then was Chi's Sweet Home. I really love cats, and for a long time I wasn't interested that much in humans, so when I opened up an internet site full of various anime and saw a cute grey cat I HAD TO watch it! It was perfect for me! I really loved Chi's Sweet Home! I was singing the opening with karaoke subtitles every episode and binge watched it in one sitting. Then I started picking up other animes, this time ones that my sister recommended me to watch. And some of them I even watched with her! Ones I can remember are Mirai Nikki, Inu x Boku SS, Ouran Highschool Hostclub, Maidsama, Shingeki no Kyoujin. However I stopped watching anime at some point and got back into anime for good in 2019 I suppose! I watched Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, rewatched Sailor Moon and than a year later I feel in love with Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun. JSHK was my first real love if it comes to anime. I was just so amazed by how interesting, cute and pretty it was. And I watch anime ever since! 2020 with the pandemic situation was a very good starting point for my love for anime as a medium to grow back, because I had plenty of time and was lonely. It made me smile in times when my struggles got worse. It was good to have anime by my side.

How's it going now?

Now I watch anime like a freak LMAO. In 2021 I even got into watching seasonal animes. I didn't realized that I can watch airing animes until I met my highschool friend. What was fun before got even more enjoyable when I was waiting for a new episode every week. Now however, after 3 years, I start to get tired of watching mutiple seasonals at once, so I think I will try to take a greak from seasonals soon. I just watch too much things at once! Other than that I got reaaaaaly into shoujo and josei anime. I really love the atmosphere of these. What may come as surprising after I just you that I love anime for girls is that I love horror and thriller anime too. I think it's just this nostalgic feeling from watching Mirai Nikki and psychological horror games when I was a kid. I'm also actively looking for some vampire animes to watch. Most of them are not good let's be honest, but I just can't help and love vampires so I need to watch animes with vampires duh. I also love other fantasy animes with magical creatures. Or without them. I just like fantasy! I don't have a genre that I don't like tho. Well maybe hentai but I just don't enjoy sex on screen. Ecchi on the other hand don't bother me as much as it used to, so it's fine in some cases. If it comes to specific titles that I like and anime characters I will discuss them in their own page, because it would be too long for this page bhahaha.

Do you use MAL/anilist?

I had used MAL in the past, but I found it to be not intuitive for me. It was hard for me to look out for new anime to watch because everything on the site looked so bland, boring and serious. I also had no idea how to make friends on it. Forums are cool but when you understand them. I had hard time using the site, I didn't even found out it has forum topics and such. So it wasn't a hard deccision for me to stop using it and join anilist instead. It felt way more comfy, I didn't had a custom looking list anymore, but I had way more fun with exploring new anime and meeting new people. Now I'm a very active user of anilist that enjoys tracking their anime and manga, writing posts, joining games and I even menaged to make some anilist friends :D It's very fun to be a part of anilist. And so my MAL account stay unactive for the most of the time, once in like half a year I go there to update the list or read the forums and that's it. So I won't link it here.
